AWT Introduction

AWT means abstract window toolkit .it Provide Graphical User Interface to JAVA application.

It is the technology to create graphics-based desktop application now AWT is outdated.AWT was enchanted by Swing component.

Java provides awt package and multiple AWT Classes to design frame, panel, and applet.

AWT provides TextFiled, Button, List, Choice, CheckBox, CheckBoxGroup, Menu, Label, and multiple classes to create the user interface.

Create a Simple Hello World Program in AWT?

import java.awt.*;
import java.awt.event.*;

public class AWTExample1 extends Frame {

    Label lbl;

    public AWTExample1()  {
        setVisible(true);
        setSize(500,500);
        setLayout(null);
        setBackground(Color.yellow);
        lbl= new Label("Hello World");
        lbl.setBounds(100,30,150, 30);
        add(lbl);
        addWindowListener(new WindowAdapter() {

            public void windowClosing(WindowEvent ex)
            {
                System.exit(0);
            }
           });

    }
    public static void main(String[] args) {
        AWTExample1 obj = new AWTExample1();
    }

}

AWT Program 2:-

package advanceconceptofjava;
import java.awt.*;
import java.awt.event.*;

public class AWTExample1 extends Frame {

    Label lbl;
    Button btn;

    public AWTExample1()  {
        setVisible(true);
        setSize(500,500);
        setLayout(null);
        setBackground(Color.yellow);
        lbl= new Label("Hello World");
        lbl.setBounds(100,30,150, 30);  //x,y,width,height
        add(lbl);
        btn = new Button("click");
        btn.setBounds(100,80,100,30);
        add(btn);
        addWindowListener(new WindowAdapter() {

            public void windowClosing(WindowEvent ex)
            {
                System.exit(0);
            }
           });

    }
    public static void main(String[] args) {
        AWTExample1 obj = new AWTExample1();
    }

}

Event Handling in AWT?

If we perform any action in the UI Component of AWT then the event will be raised.

AWT Event will be handled by java.awt.event.*;

Event has three Sub Component:-
1 Listener:-  It is used to get a response of event.

2 Handler: It is used to handle the event activity

3 Performer:-  It is used to perform event operation

addActionListner(new ActionListner(){

public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent ex)
{

}
}
)

Listner:-  ActionListner is an interface which will be defined by as an anonymous class

Handler :-  ActionEvent is a Handler

Performer:-  actionPerformed() is a performer

package advanceconceptofjava;

import java.awt.*;
import java.awt.event.ActionEvent;
import java.awt.event.ActionListener;
import java.awt.event.WindowAdapter;
import java.awt.event.WindowEvent;

/**

public class AWTExample2 extends Frame {
    Label lbl1,lbl2,lbl3;
    Button btn;
    TextField txt1,txt2;
    public AWTExample2()
    {
        setVisible(true);
        setSize(500,500);
        setLayout(null);
        setBackground(Color.yellow);
        lbl1 = new Label("Enter First Number");
        lbl1.setBounds(100, 30, 100, 30);
        add(lbl1);
        txt1 = new TextField();
        txt1.setBounds(250, 30, 100, 30);
        add(txt1);
         lbl2 = new Label("Enter Second Number");
        lbl2.setBounds(100, 70, 100, 30);
        add(lbl2);
        txt2 = new TextField();
        txt2.setBounds(250, 70, 100, 30);
        add(txt2);
        btn = new Button("CLICK");
        btn.setBounds(250, 120, 100, 30);
        add(btn);
        lbl3 = new Label();
        lbl3.setBounds(100, 200, 100, 30);
        add(lbl3);
        btn.addActionListener(new ActionListener() {

            @Override
            public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e) {
               int a = Integer.parseInt(txt1.getText());
               int b = Integer.parseInt(txt2.getText());
               int c=a+b;
               lbl3.setText("result "+c);
            }
        });
        addWindowListener(new WindowAdapter() {
            public void windowClosing(WindowEvent ex)
            {
                System.exit(0);
            }

});

    }
    public static void main(String[] args) {
        AWTExample2 obj = new AWTExample2();
    }

}

AWT Component:-

1 Label:-  IT is used to write content on Frame.

Label lbl = new Label();
lbl.setText("content");

2 Button:-  It is used to perform action means manage event handling process.

Button btn = new Button();

3 TextFiled:-  It is used to take from input from user's using single line text.

TextField txt = new TextField();

String var=txt.getText();

4 Textarea:-  It is used to write multiple line text similar to text field.

TextArea txt11 = new TextArea();

String var = txt11.getText();

5 Choice:-  It is used to Select Single Item in List, It is also called DropDownList.

We will manually add an item under choice.
Choice ch = new Choice();
ch.add("item");

6 LIST:-  it is used to select multiple items in the LIST . It is also called ListBox.

We will manually add an item under list.
List ch = new List();
ch.add("item");

We will set multiple mode property to true for multiple selections.

Event is ItemStateChanged

ASSIGNMENT:-

2) Marksheet Program

3) Salary Calculator Program

5) WAP to draw the pattern

Uncontrolled form input in React-JS

  Uncontrolled form input in React-JS? If we want to take input from users without any separate event handling then we can uncontrolled the data binding technique. The uncontrolled input is similar to the traditional HTML form inputs. The DOM itself handles the form data. Here, the HTML elements maintain their own state that will be updated when the input value changes. To write an uncontrolled component, you need to use a ref to get form values from the DOM. In other words, there is no need to write an event handler for every state update. You can use a ref to access the input field value of the form from the DOM. Example of Uncontrolled Form Input:- import React from "react" ; export class Info extends React . Component {     constructor ( props )     {         super ( props );         this . fun = this . fun . bind ( this ); //event method binding         this . input = React . createRef ();...

JDBC using JSP and Servlet

JDBC means Java Database Connectivity ,It is intermediates from Application to database. JDBC has different type of divers and provides to communicate from database server. JDBC contain four different type of approach to communicate with Database Type 1:- JDBC-ODBC Driver Type2:- JDBC Vendor specific Type3 :- JDBC Network Specific Type4:- JDBC Client-Server based Driver  or JAVA thin driver:- Mostly we prefer Type 4 type of Driver to communicate with database server. Step for JDBC:- 1  Create Database using MYSQL ,ORACLE ,MS-SQL or any other database 2   Create Table using database server 3   Create Form according to database table 4  Submit Form and get form data into servlet 5  write JDBC Code:-     5.1)   import package    import java.sql.*     5.2)  Add JDBC Driver according to database ide tools     5.3)  call driver in program         ...

JSP Page design using Internal CSS

  JSP is used to design the user interface of an application, CSS is used to provide set of properties. Jsp provide proper page template to create user interface of dynamic web application. We can write CSS using three different ways 1)  inline CSS:-   we will write CSS tag under HTML elements <div style="width:200px; height:100px; background-color:green;"></div> 2)  Internal CSS:-  we will write CSS under <style> block. <style type="text/css"> #abc { width:200px;  height:100px;  background-color:green; } </style> <div id="abc"></div> 3) External CSS:-  we will write CSS to create a separate file and link it into HTML Web pages. create a separate file and named it style.css #abc { width:200px;  height:100px;  background-color:green; } go into Jsp page and link style.css <link href="style.css"  type="text/css" rel="stylesheet"   /> <div id="abc"> </div> Exam...
